(Inside story) NCTA Team Places at Iowa State Rodeo . . . Kelly Hoyt of Leiter, Wyo., placed third in the long go, fifth in the short go, and third in the average out of 68 barrel racers. (Note: NCTA is Nebraska College of Technical Agriculture) A note from Kelly Hoyt (January, 2003): I bought Joy from the Wojos in 1999 as a 4-year-old. Keith told me that she would be great for barrel racing, and he was right. I started her on barrels and pole bending right after I got her from the Wojos and began to high-school rodeo with her. By the next year, I was placing in rodeos. I continued to use Joy in Jackpots and other barrel racing events and was doing even better. I now use her for college rodeo competition where I take her to many different states and compete against tough college competitors. I am currently in the top ten in the Great Plains Region. I would like to thank the Wojos for selling me such a great horse! Kelly Hoyt |
